📖 Key Takeaways
Fetch offers extensive coverage with no vet sub-limits, and our in-app features streamline the process, ensuring your pet gets the best care possible. With Fetch, you’re backed by top-rated reviews and expert underwriters. 🐾
What's covered 🛡️
There are many different policies out there. Most cover illnesses, but some only cover accidents. Some don't include things like dental and physio, and certain policies exclude specific conditions like IVDD or cancer. Fetch covers all conditions, including dental, physio, and behavioural issues. Check our PDS for more details.
Cover limits and sub-limits
Policies offer varying annual coverage, typically ranging from $10k to $30k. Consider what your pet might be prone to and how much you can afford. Many policies have sub-limits (lower limits) on certain conditions or treatments, such as vet consultations, tick paralysis, cruciate ligaments, and hip dysplasia. Fetch pets get $30k annually with no vet sub-limits for any condition covered.

Waiting periods ⏱️
Just like human health insurance, pet insurance comes with waiting periods. These can be long, such as six months for cruciate ligament issues. Fetch also has waiting periods, but you can skip them in-app by showing your pet is healthy.
Cover percentages & excesses
You'll typically pay a portion of treatment costs, which can be a fixed dollar excess and/or a percentage amount. Some policies reset the excess annually. Fetch excesses apply only once per condition for as long as you stay insured with us.
How claims work
Often, you pay your vet upfront and claim back later, which can take up to 10 days. Some insurers can pay vets directly, depending on the vet. Fetch can pay vets directly where they allow. You pay your contribution in-app, and we handle the rest. Pre-approvals at the vet are also possible.
Who’s doing the insurance 🏢
Customers often wonder who sets prices, services plans, and pays claims. You can usually find this at the bottom of the website, or in the PDS. Fetch designs the product and technology, sets prices, manages claims, and looks after you and your pet under our Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL). Our policies are underwritten by Pacific International Insurance, an APRA-licensed underwriter.
